From the small class sizes to alumni success stories, many factors define Oklahoma City University's excellence. However, a quality, values-centered education is the centerpiece of The OCU Difference.
OCU's professors share a commitment to the success of our students. Although many of our professors conduct research and publish in academic and trade journals, their number one priority is teaching students. Professors with the highest academic credentials in their fields teach most of our classes, and none is taught by graduate or teaching assistants. Our students have daily access to their professors and plenty of individual attention.
The OCU Difference is also apparent in our campus life. OCU is small enough for you to feel a sense of community but large enough to offer the full university experience. Our campus sits in the heart of a major metropolitan area, amid historic neighborhoods, near the State Capitol Building complex, and close to downtown attractions and the Bricktown entertainment district. Entertainment, museums, restaurants, and shops are all nearby. Opportunities on campus for cultural enrichment abound, including concerts, plays, and world-renowned speakers. The University continues to improve facilities and services to accommodate our students. This year, the Student Senate moved into new offive space in the C.Q. Smith Student Faculty Center. And, of course, the beautifully landscaped grounds make life at OCU a pleasure, providing an inviting space for quiet study or the odd football or soccer game on the lawn. |
