In the winter semester 2018/2019, the University of Kaiserslautern will offer two postgraduate distance learning courses ‘Nanotechnology’ and ‘Nanobiotechnology’, which natural scientists, engineers, pharmacists and medical practitioners can take without giving up their jobs.
There is a six semester continuing education program for Nanotechnology, which concludes with a Master's degree by the University of Kaiserslautern and a two semester continuing education program for Nanobiotechnology, which concludes with a certificate. The combination of theoretical knowledge and subject-specific practical phases helps distance students decide which career orientation to choose.
Note: The application period for this distance learning courses will end on 15th July 2018. .

There is a six semester continuing education program for Financial Engineering, which concludes with a Master's degree by the University of Kaiserslautern. In-depth knowledge of methodology and actuarial theory and their statistical and numerical use in practice are increasingly important in the finance and insurance industry. The programme is designed to teach the advanced financial mathematics and financial economics theory and skills required for an in-depth understanding of the increasingly complex financial market.
